The U.S reported more than 30,000 new coronavirus cases on Friday, the highest number of daily infections recorded since May 1, according to data compiled by the Johns Hopkins University.
Cases are surging in states in the South and West and Midwest. Arizona, Florida, California and Nevada and South Carolina reported record-high single-day increases in Covid-19 infections on Friday.
In Tulsa, Oklahoma, many people gathered for President Donald Trump’s rally Saturday evening, concerning health officials as the state experiences a continued increase in cases.
