[UPDATE 5:00 PM] PSEG UPDATE:
STORM UPDATE as of 5PM: Strong winds and hazardous gusts continue across our service territory causing downed trees, branches and wires affecting approximately 368,000 of our 1.1 million customers. Tropical Storm Isaias was one of the strongest storms to hit our service territory in recent years, and some outages could last for an extended period. Power has already been restored to 36,000 customers. We remind you, our crews are unable to work in bucket trucks to make repairs until wind speeds fall to non-hazardous levels. As soon as it is safe, our crews work 24/7 to restore customers without power, and we have more than 2,000 line workers, tree trimmers, surveyors and other utility personnel are onsite to address outages and restoration efforts.

Hurricane Isaias Has Arrived: This tropical storm is currently producing winds of 70 mph, the National Weather Service warned. There is a tornado watch in effect for our area until 4:00 PM today, as well as for the entire NY and NJ areas. Flash flood rains can bring water between 2-4 inches.

This storm has left 500,000 people without power, so it would be a good idea to charge all electronic devices now, especially power banks if you have them. Be sure to take in all outdoor furniture and objects.

Trees on Causeway are down blocking the entire road and more may fall.
