Kiddush Hashem: Woman Thanks Community for Returning a Lost Pair of Rings

0

A Kiddush Hashem has happened in the 5towns, it’s at times like these we thank G-D for placing us in such a great community like the 5 Towns!

Yesterday, A local Cedarhurst resident posted that rings were lost. These rings belonged to her mother’s devoted caregiver, who was walking the streets of Central avenue, looking bereft, explaining that she was looking for her rings which might have fallen out of her pocket while frequenting many of the local food eateries, as she does for lunch on a daily basis. She keeps them off out of kindness to the woman she watches over, so she doesn’t scratch her accidentally. The rings were extremely sentimental to her and expensive.

Although not a big social media attendee, the daughter who appreciates the amazing care this caretaker does for her mom, ran to post on two of the local 5 Towns groups that she has used for assistance with resources in the past.

Many people offered sympathy and assisted in offering connections from different Facebook groups. It was from a random member that a connection was made with someone on another group that posted she had found jewelry.

The daughter commented, “It’s amazing that people take the time to help. So fortunate that one of our local Central Avenue shop owners, D & W Antiques, found them and looked to reunite them with their owner. Reaching out late last night to make the match!”

The overwhelming gratitude that was conveyed in hearing they were found and after placed back on her hands was really immeasurable.

A note was given to the daughter this morning and asked to post for all to read :
“Good morning, to all, my name is Ms. Whyte and I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the Cedarhurst Community. It is a pleasure to be surrounded by such good-willed people like this. Not many places that I know would this happen. Thank you very, very much. Words cannot express how grateful I feel. Thank you and may G-d Bless you!”

Her gratitude has compelled her to make a generous donation to Hatzalah on behalf of her appreciation to our community and from first hand seeing their devoted acts of chesed! She also shopped at the shop owners’ store who found the rings and made a purchase to thank her as well.

Only in this great neighborhood does this happen!

The family wants to thank everyone for their help, “Tizku l’ Mitzvos and wishes a G’mar chatimah Tovah to all!”
