5TC is excited to welcome the Chickies restaurant chain to Central Ave. Chickies, which has been around for years, is a family-owned business.
Reuven Mozorosky, originally from Staten Island, purchased the business back in 2018 and has been busy growing the business ever since. Chickies currently has multiple locations including Teaneck, Six Flags, American Dream mall, Mall of America, as well as a food truck for special occasions.
One of their famous sandwiches is called the “Cap’n Munch”, a delicious and unique crispy chicken sandwich. They also are known for all their amazing homemade sauces, including the popular “Kumbaslow” sauce. They have partnered with Saladmates and now, seven of their famous sauces are available for purchase all over the U.S.
We wish them much success and we can’t wait to taste their menu firsthand!
They are hoping to open soon, an actual date is still TBA. Stay tuned for details!
Are they Kosher?
chof-k
I highly doubt the local mafia will allow them to be under Chof-K here.
I would assume they will be under the Vaad unfortunately.
It’s opening where QCumbers used to be. Just another shnitzel place. How about someone opening a gym?
@emes there are a lot of מעלה‘s in having one vaad-and all the rabbinim are modeh
Not all the Rabonim. Only the vocal ones, or the politically pressured ones.
At least one Rov who signed to that letter told me his signature was forged, and he disagrees with them. He specifically told them NOT to out his name in that letter, and they did it anyway.
Competition is ALWAYS good. One Vaad with zero over site is a horrible thing.
The mafia vaad and their control of the local stores made the mehadrin great hashgacha life’s miserable and even put out fraudulent letters stating that you can’t trust them and they are religious allegedly
When does it open?
