Police are investigating the first homicide of the New Year in New York City. It has been been a violent start to 2021. At least seven people have been shot already in the city. That includes a triple shooting outside a Queens hotel that was fatal.
Avi Cyperstein, running for City Council voiced his frusatration:
We are only 1.5 hour into 2021 and my district was hit with a triple shooting. I received a call from a co-volunteer about the incident just blocks away from where I grew up. 1 patient is currently in traumatic arrest.
