After what seemed to be a fairly mild winter, February delivered two substantial blizzards within the first week. There is potential for yet another two storms this week: Snow is now expected Tuesday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM, and can bring several inches of snow to the Long Island area. It will ultimately mix with sleet and rain in New York City and along the coast, limiting accumulations from an inch to possibly up to 3 inches.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4 AM Tuesday to 1 AM Wednesday. Accumulating snow Tuesday will create hazardous travel, especially on any untreated roads. #NYCwx #NYwx #CTwx #NJwx pic.twitter.com/2qf3B99fZk

Following an expansive swath of snow stretching from the central Plains to the Great Lakes and Eastern Seaboard this weekend, another round of snow is forecast to target some of the same areas early this week: https://t.co/JyMFXqfJdy pic.twitter.com/qSIOuwVj1h

Early Thursday morning has potential for another snowstorm, which is due to arrive at 3:00 AM, Thursday morning (1 to 3 inches). Thursday evening into Friday however, can bring a larger accumulation of snow, time will tell as we get closer. AccuWeather is calling for Philadelphia and New York City to be right on the line between a 6 to 12-inch storm and a 3 to 6-inch storm.
Temperatures this coming weekend will again be well below freezing, temps will be in the 20’s. This is good to keep in mind while you are planning Shabbos meals, Presidents weekend, etc.
This comes after Sunday’s snowfall, which dumped an average of 4 to 9 inches across the city. Central Park saw 4.5 inches and 6.9 inches fell at JFK Airport.
