Yesterday, February 8, Chaim V’Chessed was the first to announce that El Al will be operating several flights to/from the United States.
Unfortunately, by this morning, all of the economy class tickets on these flights had been booked. We can report that El Al is in talks with government officials to add further flights.
United Airlines, too, is in talks with the government about operating flights to the USA. At this time, however, there is no progress. Barring a change, United will be forced to cancel the remaining flights which still are scheduled for the coming days.
Chaim V’Chessed has been in frequent contact with Deputy Transportation Minister, Uri Maklev, who is urging authorities to allow more flights. We will issue updates as soon as further information becomes available.
