Inwood Home Fire Early Monday Morning

General alarm house fire at 12 Monroe Street, Inwood (between City Line & Bayview Ave. The incident occurred at 3:15 AM, early Monday morning.

Inwood and FDNY crews teamed up again at this early morning borderline house fire. Asst Chief Kenyatta Stevens arrived on the scene confirming everyone was out of the home and transmitted the Signal 10. He was followed by companies from “The Big House” of the FDNY. Squad 318 and Tower Ladder 313 moved in behind them. Additional companies from LCFD, MPFD, LBFD and Woodmere were on hand as well. The Elmont FD was assigned as the FAST. Inwood Chief of Dept. Phillip Johnson was the incident commander. Companies were on scene for approximately 2 hours, no serious injuries were reported.
