101 PRECINCT SAFETY BULLETIN: SAFEGUARDING YOUR DELIVERY
The 101 Precinct has seen an increase of packages being removed from homes and lobbies. Don’t be a victim of Package Theft. Protect your purchases from thieves by following some basic steps:
1. Require packages to be signed for when delivery is made.
2. Have packages delivered to your workplace.
3. Track the progress of your package and have arrangements for someone to be home when the package is scheduled for delivery. Ask a trusted neighbor to take in your delivery and pick it up when you get home.
4. Have your packages held at a location for pick-up. Example FEDEX Store/UPS Store Etc.
5. When you leave your house put away all valuables, lock all doors and windows and set alarm.
6. If you receive multiple deliveries, you may want to install Security Cameras. Make sure cameras have a clear and unobstructed view of the location on your deliveries. Any video footage of any incidents should be made available to 101 Precinct Detective Squad.
