To our Dear White Shul Family, :עמו”ש

חסדי ה’ כי לא תמנו כי לא כלו רחמיו!

With Hashem’s help, we have בע”ה seen a significant pattern of improvement with regard to COVID in the neighborhood and beyond. Upon speaking with doctors and Hatzalah representatives, there was, ב׳׳ה, no local uptick after Pesach. Anyone over the age of 16 has access to the vaccine. In consultation with medical personnel, and in light of the high vaccination rate among our Shul family and the extremely low rate of new infections in the community, we are pleased to inform you of the following adjustments in Shul policy– effective beginning this Friday morning, Lag B’Omer, April 30:

– When seated at one’s seat , masks are optional with the following conditions:

– Weekday Shacharis at 6 and 8 am (Beis Medrash) will continue to be Mask Mandatory.

– The Hashkamah minyan on Shabbos will continue to be Mask Mandatory.

– All minyanim held in the Main Shul will have a designated Mask Mandatory area, both in the Men’s and Women’s sections. Specifically, these will be the right hand side (upon entering) section closest to the front of the Shul.

– The Plag minyan will be split between 2 locations: The Beis Medrash will be Mask Mandatory and the Main Shul will be Mask Optional (with the exception of the designated Mask Mandatory sections)

– In the event that more Mask Mandatory seats are needed, the gabbai of the specific minyan is authorized to designate additional Mask Mandatory seats.

– We will continue to designate socially-distanced seating, and respectfully request your cooperation in NOT removing any tape.

– The committee reserves the right to require masks in situations where social distancing cannot be maintained.
Masks continue to be mandatory in all shared areas (entering and leaving the building, lobby, restrooms).

– If you are not vaccinated and do not have antibodies, we urge you to continue masking.

– If you are experiencing any COVID-like symptoms, please do not come to Shul.

Beginning this Shabbos, the Beis Medrash and Nusach Sefard minyanim will be combined in the Beis Medrash.

We are pleased to inform you that this Shabbos there will be an outdoor kiddush, in the Sage Street plaza, following davening in the Main Shul.

Especially during these days of Sefirah, we would like to stress the importance of treating every person who enters our Shul with utmost derech eretz. If you are concerned about compliance, please speak privately to one of the Board members. In the zechus of our achdus, care and concern for one another, and kavod habri’os, may we and all of Klal Yisrael merit refuos, yeshuos, and only besuros tovos henceforth IY”H.

Wishing you and yours kol tuv selah,

Rabbi Eytan Feiner
Rabbi Motti Neuburger
