Activist Dov Hikind with a bold message, urging ALL people of faith to join the rally:

Message from R’ Lebowitz, of BKNW

Dear BKNW,

We are all gravely concerned with the level of anti-Israel bias and anti-semitism that has been loudly and overtly expressed throughout the world, even in our own backyard. It is critical that we come together at this time and show our support of Israel in large numbers. We ask that all of our member, men women and children, make an effort to attend this important event!

B’yedidus,

Rabbi Aryeh Lebowitz

Message from R’ Axelrod, of YIW:

We have all been horrified over the acts of anti-semitism which we have witnessed over the last two weeks. Together with the Simon Wiesenthal Center, and many other community shuls and organizations, the Young Israel of Woodmere will be participating in a rally this Thursday evening at 7:15pm. The rally will take place in Cedarhurst Park, and will be attended by many local politicians. I urge all family members — young and old — to participate in this very important event.

Rabbi Shalom Axelrod

Message from R’ Mordechai Kamenetzky, of YOSS:

Amalek is vilified in Jewish thought because of their unthinkable, unprecedented, unprovoked act of violence against the Jewish nation and it was that act that spurred all others throughout our history.

Over the last few weeks, Jews across the region and the world have been viciously and indiscriminately attacked for no other reason than their Yiddishkeit. These acts against Jews must be met with the strongest protest and condemnations.

It is important to show a unified voice of protest and indignation against these flagrant acts of anti-Semitic violence. Upon the advice of Rabbanim and local politicians there will be a gathering this Thursday evening, May 27th at 7:15pm in Cedarhurst Park, to daven and make our voice heard. There will be a very strong police presence and will be attended by many of our local and national government representatives.

I believe that they must see how these acts concern us and that we will not be silent in the face of such terrible behaviors by those who wish us harm. I hope to see you there.

Rabbi Mordechai Kamenetzky

Halb urging the community to attend the rally:

Dear HALB Family,

We strongly urge the entire HALB community – parents, grandparents, alumni and students of all ages – to attend this extremely important rally.

This is in conjunction with and supported by all the local institutions and Rabbonim we are associated with. In addition to our moral imperative to stand up against violence and anti semitism, this is an opportunity to be mechanech our children to do the same.

Please read the flyer for more information and details.
