National Grid has informed us that its contractors will replace the 100-year-old gas main on Cedarhurst Avenue from Peninsula Boulevard to West Broadway.
This is a critical infrastructure improvement. Once the installation of the new main is completed, all of the homes on Cedarhurst Avenue will be connected to the new main. National Grid or its contractors will contact each homeowner to coordinate that part of the work.
The work may begin as early as Monday, October 11th. The entire project is expected to take approximately four months.
There will be rolling closures on parts of Cedarhurst Avenue for about 2 weeks following the start of the project.
