2 Nassau Teens Arrested For Stealing Apple Items In 6 T-Mobile Stores

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrests of two individuals for Robbery.

According to Robbery Squad Detectives, Lanizja Myers, 19, of 142-27 Hook Creek Boulevard, Rosedale and Elyanni Sesay, 19 of 157 Belmont Avenue, Brooklyn entered six T-Mobile stores and forcibly removed Apple iPhones and Apple Watches. In instances when a store employee would attempt to stop them, the defendants threatened that they had a weapon and displayed a taser and pepper spray. The six robbery locations and dates of occurrence are as follows:

-481 Old Country Road, Westbury, occurred on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 7:20 PM

-672 Stewart Avenue East, Garden City, occurred on Wednesday, September, 29, 2021 at 7:38 PM

-143 West Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, occurred on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 7:55 PM

-1199 Grand Avenue, Baldwin, occurred on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 1:55 PM

-88 Manetto Hill Mall, Plainview, occurred on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 5:05 PM

-348 West Sunrise highway, Valley Stream, occurred on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 6:15 PM.

As the result of a subsequent investigation, both defendants were placed under arrest at 142-27 Hook Creek Boulevard, Queens, on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 3:15 PM without further incident.

Defendants Lanizja Myers and Elyanni Sesay are both charged with (5) counts of Robbery 1st Degree, Grand larceny 4th Degree, and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. They will be arraigned on Friday, November 12, 2021 at First District Court in Hempstead.
