Inwood: Suspect Arrested After Multiple Burglaries, K9 Units Helped Locate The Hiding Suspect

Fourth Squad Detectives report an arrest for a Burglary that occurred on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 10:38 pm in Inwood.

According to detectives, a male broke a door and entered the building located at 1 Sheridan Boulevard. The subject left and returned a short time later. He broke a window and entered a second time. A security company was monitoring the cameras from a different location, observed the subject and called 911. Officers responded and secured the perimeter of the building. Nassau County K9-5 responded to assist with the investigation and located a male hiding in the building. The subject was arrested without incident.

Sequan Kennedy, 30, removed an undisclosed amount of US currency and was in possession of stolen credit cards.

Defendant Kennedy is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. He was arraigned on Monday, December 6, 2021 in Mineola.
