Incoming Executive Elect Bruce Blakeman sat down with Eyewitness news to discuss plans for January 1st, when he officially takes office. Blakeman made headlines several weeks ago as one of the initial politicians to deny the Governor’s mask mandates.

Blakeman discusses that, generally, he’s not a fan of mandates. His agenda does not include any mandates for masking or vaccination. However, Blakeman says, “I am, though, a man of action.” Beginning his first day in office, he has plans to tackle crime and high taxes, as well as place a strong emphasis on economic development.

Blakeman’s office has announced that he has chosen a team of more than 50 community leaders to help transition county administrations.
