Among a gathering of Rabbis, friends and political leaders, Nassau County Executive Bruce blakeman affixed a mezuza to the doors of his new office.
“Hashem got me here and it is appropriate that I begin my tenure on a spiritual high note” said Blakeman.
Together with his wife Segal, he fixed the beautiful mezuzah which had the official seal of Nassau County engraved on it.
This is the first time in the history of Nassau County that a mezuzah was affixed to a door.
In his remarks Mr Blakeman thanked his many friends and supporters who helped him achieve his position.
