Nassau County Police alerted motorists early Wedesday morning to avoid the scene as all lanes of Northern Boulevard were closed in the vicinity of the Roslyn Viaduct due to an icing condition and multiple vehicle accident.
Motorists had been advised to use the Long Island Expressway and service road as alternate roadways and use caution when traveling.
Please be sure to take extra precautions and drive slowly especially during the early morning commute as the black ice remains on the roadways.
