It has been over a week since Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman was sworn into office.

He joined Republican lawmakers in Albany on Tuesday, calling for the repeal of cashless bail reform laws Tuesday. The issue was a central part of his campaign.

Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt (R-Lockport), Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R-Oswego) and Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman joined dozens of other GOP leaders at the state Capitol to slam Democrats and paint New York’s bail laws as a boon for repeat offenders.
