Longtime government leader and five-towns resident will fight to keep communities safe and protect taxpayers

Cedarhurst, NY – David Lobl, a leader in bringing government services and funding to communities, declared his candidacy for the New York Assembly’s 20th District on the South Shore of Nassau County. Lobl, 38, knows how government works from his years of service in the public and private sectors, including advocating on behalf of individuals and families with developmental needs. Lobl has been actively campaigning door to door since the vacancy of the seat. He was nominated by the Nassau County Democratic Party.

“I am in this race to protect the taxpayers of the 20th Assembly District. Public safety is the most important quality of life issue, and we can’t have a prosperous community if we are not safe. In the Assembly I will fight to fully fund police and fix bail laws that harm our safety.” stated Lobl.

Carrying over a decade of experience and known for his independence, David will serve the residents with integrity and efficiency. He is running because the health and safety of the community matters. As a small business owner, community leader, husband, and father, David will deliver the leadership that is sorely lacking at this time in Albany.

David will provide the responsible leadership that residents deserve. He is from our community and for the community. And in the Assembly Majority, he will deliver for our community.

David was a trusted Senior Jewish Advisor to key elected officials, where he spearheaded and saw to fruition important policies including a first in the nation anti-BDS executive order, protection for houses or worship, a stronger New York-Israel relationship, and educational services. During Hurricane Sandy, David played an integral role in bringing State agencies and aid to many of the hardest hit communities.

David is a member of Beis Medrash of Woodmere. He and his wife Zissi and two children are proud residents of Cedarhurst.

The 20th Assembly district includes Cedarhurst, Woodmere, Lawrence, Oceanside, Lido Beach, Long Beach, Atlantic Beach, Point Lookout, Inwood, Hewlett Harbor, Hewlett Bay Park, Woodsburgh, Hewlett Neck, Island Park, parts of East Rockaway, Hewlett, and North Woodmere.

The special election is Thursday April 7th.

  1. What a joke. Lobl lived in Far Rockaway his whole life and is just a carpetbagger who desperately wants to be a politician. He said he was a “key advisor” for many politicians but the TRUTH is the only politician he ever worked for was Cuomo — yes the disgraced former Governor. Lobl was a low level aide who was brought on to try and get the Jewish vote and advocate for our interests and HE FAILED. Yeshiva tuition and hate crimes are soaring …. I wouldn’t vote for this guy. We all know what the Democrats stand for.
