4 Major Law Enforcement Unions Endorse Tough-On-Crime Leader in Special Election

Nassau County’s major law enforcement unions have endorsed tough-on-crime leader Eric “Ari” Brown in the April 7th special election for State Assembly in the 20th District. The Nassau County Police Benevolent Association, the Nassau Detectives’ Association, the Nassau County Superior Officers’ Association and the Nassau County Correction Officers Association have all selected Eric “Ari” Brown as their choice for New York State Assembly.

“I am so honored to be endorsed by the respected voices of the law enforcement community,” said Brown. “I stand behind the men and women of law enforcement, I will fight all efforts to defund the police and I applaud the work of our law enforcement officers to make our communities safe and peaceful.”

Eric “Ari” Brown has an agenda for Albany that includes fighting to repeal “cashless bail” laws, which have made the job of law enforcement officers more difficult, as well as making neighbors less safe. What’s more, Ari will stand up against all proposals to defund the police. Mr. Brown believes that government should dedicate more resources to law enforcement to make our communities safer, and he has worked with Nassau County Police Department officials to combat anti-Semitic crimes and other criminal acts during his tenure as a Deputy Mayor and Trustee in the Village of Cedarhurst.

“I am the only candidate in the Assembly race who will stand up against the corrosive effects of “cashless bail” and the extreme socialists in Albany who want to defund the police, concluded Brown.

“Nassau’s major law enforcement unions have recognized that fact, and that is why they have endorsed me in the special election for the 20th Assembly District. If you care about keeping our communities safe, please vote for me, Eric ‘Ari’ Brown, for Assembly on April 7th .”

  1. I saw Ari Brown’s latest mailing and flyer and found it to be absolutely disgraceful. It represented everything I dislike during election season. These 2 candidates are actually not very different in their viewpoints on many topics but Mr. Brown has shown a very disgusting side to his personality with this flyer. I also have found his anit-mask mandates and other Covid-related views to be unacceptable. No way I would ever vote for someone like him.

  2. My wife throws the mailers out so I didnt see and can’t remark on it, but it is scary that Ari’s opponent worked for cuomo and helped devise the horrible ideas that are ruining our state like cashless bail, free college for criminals and shutting down our shuls

  3. Dovid did not work for Cuomo during Covid nor during the passage of the cashless bail. He had left a couple of years earlier. Pure SHEKER

All of us frum yidden are appalled with the cashless bail and with the state of NYS today, our priority though is US. Lobl is US. He, along with the other frum members of the Assembly (all Dems, but Jews at heart) will serve US.

  4. I dont think Eric “Ari” was too fond of law enforcement when they came to his house and stripped him of his pistol carry license.
Apparently he wasn’t “trusted” to carry a weapon around

  5. When did Brown lose his gun license?

Why did Lobl write anti semitic posts about cuomo’s opponent? Those ads in the papers this weekend concerned me.

What did Lobl do for our community when working as cuomo’s Jewish advisor

  6. If you were really so proud, you would post your name. Only cowards are anonymous.

Doesnt seem like youre that proud.

  7. Cowards ? are you serious @danny ? The liberal LEFT has made it hazardous to join in a civil conversation . I am sure had this user posted his name it would have only caused issues for him . The truth is David is a terrible candidate . He has worked on the Fringe side of Liberal government and lobby organizations with extreme liberal motives . I Dislike and Distrust Ari Brown. But due to the fact that the Term will be short , I would rather pick a terrible Republican candidate and then have him loose in the midterms against an stronger candidate in the right party.

  8. @Pundit
Apparently Brown’s ads were completely false.

Lobl had left Cuomo’s office years before Covid.

And the “anti-semitic mailers” were exactly the opposite of what Brown advertised. I read the new articles online. Lobl was actually calling out Cynthia Nixon for aligning with the BDS movement.

What does this say about a candidate with little regard for honesty, who is happy to mislead and discredit others to try to “get ahead”

  9. @LGB-FJB
“He has worked on the Fringe side of Liberal government and lobby organizations with extreme liberal motives .”
Can you shed any more light on this?
Were you just echoing the lies that were in the paper?

  10. Isn’t he supported by the teachers Union that hates yeshivas? Hasn’t he tried to lobby crazy leftist Jewish social Justice groups on behalf of Cuomo? Ari brown is no nonsense and not a politician. Lobl is a desperate wannabe.

  11. Lobl is going to get smoked. The five towns will all strongly vote against Cuomo’s candidate. But it’s important we vote so the Dems don’t steal this election! Remember that Long Beach is liberal so we need to show up in strong numbers to protect our Jewish values and fundamental rights

  12. How can you support Brown? He supported all these anti vaxx stuff in the Jewish home this week claiming it makes people blind??

  13. “Isn’t he supported by the teachers Union that hates yeshivas? Hasn’t he tried to lobby crazy leftist Jewish social Justice groups on behalf of Cuomo? ”

Where do you get this stuff? This is all pretty much the same lies that were in the Brown ads.

It’s fine to support a friend, to have different ideological beliefs, to debate whether sending a signal against the party may be a meaningful approach, etc., etc.

But why are all the lies necessary in order to support a candidate that you favor?

  14. It’s the facts I mean. Like didnt lobl work for cuomo and hasnt he worked as a lobbyist putting the interests of special groups and crazy fringes ahead of ours? What has he done for our community?

Compare that to Ari brown. He’s been a respected mayor, a fighter for klal yisroel and a proven leader. How can anyone vote for Lobl whos frum?

  15. I am proud to have voted for Ari Brown on Sunday. He is brash and unafraid to speak his mind but at least he isnt a mini cuomo

  16. I had no opinion on either till I got that ridiculous mailer which may as well have come in November for any of the regular smearing hacks running for office. Ugly look for Brown.

  17. “It’s the facts I mean. Like didnt lobl work for cuomo and hasnt he worked as a lobbyist putting the interests of special groups and crazy fringes ahead of ours? What has he done for our community?

You can keep repeating the same lies, but that still doesn’t make them any more true than the smear campaign in the newspaper ads.
Ari Brown may have been active in the village gov’t or actively lining his pockets with all of his “projects” in the village. But Lobl was actually advocating for our yeshivas and mosdos in Albany for many years. You can ask any of the local yeshivas who work with OU, Agudah, Teach NYS, or even the local administrators who go to Albany to meet with the state representatives. They have all worked with him, together with all of the frum elected officials in Albany.
