There are helicopters flying over Woodmere, Cedarhurst & Hewlett in response to a burglary in the Cedarhurst area. Police are currently on scene at the corner of Peninsula and Hamilton Ave and have blocked off the area.
One suspect was taken into custody following the incident. Nassau police have been spotted walking with their K9 units in residential areas, searching for the remaining suspect.
Multiple schools have been placed on lockdown as the search continues. Thankfully all are safe.
