On June 22nd, Speaker Adrienne E. Adams delivered the keynote address at the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY)’s Annual Meeting. In her first address to JCRC-NY, Speaker Adams addressed a wide array of issues and concerns, including the rise in anti-Semitic incidents and gun violence.

“While hate crimes against Asian, Sikh, Muslim, and LGBTQ New Yorkers have surged, anti-Semitic violence remains the most prevalent form of hate in our city,” said Speaker Adrienne Adams. “It is reprehensible, vile, and must come to an end because an attack on our Jewish community is an attack on all of us. It is only with your partnership and support that we can build the city that we know is within our grasp, one that is equitable, strong, and free from violence and hate.”

JCRC-NY, the primary community relations agency for the Jewish community in New York City, held its annual meeting on Wednesday, June 22, convening the agency’s Board of Directors, member organizations, and partners in religious and ethnic communities.

“We are honored that Speaker Adams chose JCRC-NY to make her first keynote address to the Jewish community,” said Cheryl Fishbein, JCRC-NY President. “JCRC-NY will continue to partner with Speaker Adams to effectively convey the concerns of our diverse Jewish community to the government of New York City.”

“We deeply appreciate Speaker Adams’ support for the Jewish community and pledge to work with her to improve the quality of life for all New Yorkers,” said Gideon Taylor, JCRC-NY Executive Vice President and CEO.

  1. Wow, I love these Jewish organizations pandering for photo ops. Why doesn’t one of them just say that the black community is mostly the ones in anti-Asian and anti-semitic cases? And gun violence is because criminals go free unchecked. Maybe some legal gun owners can help out.
