Shell Station Worker to Chabad Rabbi: “I Trust You People”

0

Rabbi Litvin, the Chairman of Kentucky Jewish Council, was driving home in the middle of Ohio, when he realized he was out of gas and had somehow misplaced his wallet.

He pulled into a Shell station hoping the pumps took Google pay, but quickly found out that they didn’t. The Rabbi was in a real bind.

Suddenly, an employee came out and told the Rabbi to fill up his car and to come inside once he’s finished (on the honor system).

He filled up his tank, went inside and profusely thanked the gracious employee. Arrangements were made to repay the worker.

The employee then said, “Most people we make pay first, because they could run away, but I knew you wouldn’t do that. I know your community, because I used to live in Boro Park”.

Which other educational system would create such a people?

Thank you Boro Park community for the Kiddush Hashem!
