Rabbi Daniel Kalish on ‘Let’s Get Real with Coach Menachem’ לעשות את השבת לדרתם, Handing the beauty of Shabbos to our children.
It can be challenging to get children, particularly teenagers, to fully engage in the observance of Shabbos. One approach that has been suggested is to focus on the positive aspects of the day, such as spending time with family and friends, having a break from the demands of everyday life, and having the opportunity for spiritual reflection.
It’s important to remember that it’s a process and that it may take time for children and teens to embrace the observance of Shabbos fully. As parents, we should be patient and persistent and look for ways to make the experience meaningful and enjoyable for our kids.
