Here in its entirety is the vitriolic, evil, antisemitic @CUNYLaw commencement address from Jew hater Fatima Mohammed. Unimaginably, it is even worse than last year’s hate spewed by Nerdeen Kiswani. No wonder CUNY Law, under state investigation, tried to hide this video. pic.twitter.com/nKCe1Kx2sc

CUNY’s Law School has recently made public a video of a commencement address that contained false and inflammatory statements about Israel.
The speaker, a well-known supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, expressed anti-Semitic views and made baseless accusations against Israel. She accused Israel of “indiscriminate” murder and endorsed the concept of “lynch mobs.” To the dismay of many, her words were met with thunderous applause from the audience.
This incident is not an isolated one, as the law school has a history of fostering an environment tainted by anti-Semitism. In fact, this is the second consecutive year in which the commencement speaker dedicated a significant portion of their address to spreading anti-Israel rhetoric.
During this year’s commencement ceremony on May 12, the keynote speaker was Fatima Mohammed, an activist known for her anti-Israel stance. Mohammed repeatedly used false information, propaganda, and talking points to link Israel with white supremacy, oppression, colonialism, and violence. Her statements included phrases such as, “Israel continues to indiscriminately rain bullets and bombs on worshipers, murdering the old and the young, attacking funerals and graveyards as it encourages lynch mobs.” These unfounded claims were met with applause and support from the audience.
Furthermore, Mohammed criticized the law school for its alleged involvement in training soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), blaming the institution for promoting violence globally. She also made connections between racism against Black Americans and Israel, and even singled out Senator Chuck Schumer, accusing him of “dignifying” the killing of Jordan Neely.
In her closing remarks, Mohammed called for resistance against capitalism, racism, imperialism, and Zionism worldwide, urging the audience to use the incident as fuel for the fight against these perceived injustices.
It is important to note that Fatima Mohammed is a member of CUNY Law’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, an organization known for its strong anti-Israel stance.
Last year, CUNY Law School passed a resolution that falsely portrayed the Israeli state’s actions as an “unceasing military occupation and colonization of Palestine,” which they deemed to be both settler colonialism and structural racism. The resolution also accused the United States of providing political, financial, and military support to this alleged oppression.
In response to this alarming incident, several voices have spoken out against the university. Congressman Lee Zeldin expressed deep concern, stating that anti-Semitism has engulfed the City University of New York, and he called for a comprehensive overhaul of the administration to ensure the safety and inclusion of Jewish students and faculty. Additionally, Mike Lawler, another legislator, shared plans to introduce legislation that would strip universities of funding if they engage in or promote anti-Semitism. He criticized CUNY for its behavior and argued that it should be ashamed of itself, suggesting that federal funds should be withheld.
Chaskel Bennett, a concerned citizen, criticized the use of public funds to support what he referred to as an anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-democracy, and anti-NYPD diatribe. He called on CUNY Law to take responsibility for allowing unchallenged hate speech to be spoken in its name, demanding a refund of taxpayers’ money.
This incident highlights the need for universities to promote an atmosphere of inclusivity, respect, and intellectual rigor, where diverse perspectives can be expressed without resorting to false information or hate speech. It also underscores the importance of transparency and accountability within academic institutions, especially regarding controversial topics.
I was proud to offer a different message at this year’s CUNY law commencement ceremony — one that celebrates the progress of our city and country, and one that honors those who fight to keep us safe and protect our freedoms, like my uncle Joe, who died at age 19 in Vietnam while… https://t.co/vGRKntgH0G

Shameful!! Where is our State Senator Patricia Canzoneri Fitzpatrick?? She is useless and has been completely MIA since the election. Vote her out!!
Here is what the senator has been up to.
https://www.nysenate.gov/senators/patricia-canzoneri-fitzpatrick .
I would think it better to direct your anger and resentment toward the hateful individual Fatima Mohammed. Why don’t you volunteer in an
anti-antisemitic action committee like SAFECUNY ?
EASIER TO POINT FINGERS AND SAY OTHERS SHOULD DO !
Canzoneri Fitzpatrick has done NOTHING for the frum community!
She is paid to stand up for us and is our elected representative, even though she doesn’t act like it. I pay her salary.
Where are the Jews of New York May I ask?
Such scared, timid..,,, nothing much has changed.
How can a university in the city on New York supported by our tax dollars allow such hatred, lies, and misrepresentation be allowed to deliver such a message. How skewed is this message. I am horrified.
Exactly!! Canzoneri Fitzpatrick is using OUR tax dollars to pay for this hate directed at us! She doesn’t care!!
She’s an ungrateful loser but worse than that, she worked hard in law school for a few years and now nobody will hire her because she’s an outspoken racist and someone that hates their own country. What an idiot!
I’ve called Canzoneri’s office several times about issues but to no avail. She is useless. I am never voting for her again.
Shame on CUNY Law for permitting antisemitic rhetoric and recognizing and honoring a virulent antisemitic speaker.
