Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has made significant progress in repairing his relationship with former U.S. President Donald Trump. Relations between the two soured when Netanyahu congratulated President Joe Biden on his 2020 election victory, which angered Trump.
For the past three years, Netanyahu’s allies have actively sought to mend the rift, holding at least four meetings with Trump. In a symbolic gesture, one aide brought Netanyahu’s book to Mar-a-Lago, reading passages that praised Trump.
Barak Ravid reports that Netanyahu’s team sent Trump a video statement about the recent assassination attempt on Trump, which Trump viewed. An aide to Netanyahu described it as a strategic move to refer to Trump as “President Trump” instead of “former President Trump,” reflecting their efforts to restore the former rapport.

Like all Israelis, my wife Sara and I were shocked by the horrific assassination attempt on the life of President Donald Trump.
This wasn't just an attack on Donald Trump. This was an attack on a candidate for the presidency of the United States. This was an attack on America.… pic.twitter.com/AzeiL78uNU
