Shavuah Tov, may this be a great week ahead for Klal Yisroel!

Happenings Over Shabbos:

Lebanese media report Israeli airstrikes near the Lebanon-Syria border, targeting the village of Hawsh al-Sayyid Ali, approximately 140 kilometers from Israel. Israeli fighter jets also struck a building in Blida, southern Lebanon, after identifying a group of Hezbollah terrorists. Another Hezbollah-affiliated building in Blida was targeted as well.

In the West Bank, an IDF unit discovered an explosive device near Route 443 in the Beit Horon area, which was safely detonated by Border Police sappers.

In Ramat Gan, police arrested a 49-year-old Arab man posing as an Israeli citizen. Upon searching him, officers found 4 cell phones, a checkbook, fake ID, IDF fighter’s card, pepper spray, and cash. The suspect attempted to flee but was arrested.

Meanwhile, IDF Coordinator COGAT, General Aliyan, is expected to halt the use of Gazan merchants for transferring aid to Gaza. Reports indicate Hamas has been taxing aid at 20%, using the funds to rebuild its organization.

In Gaza City, two Hamas buildings in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, close to a school shelter, were destroyed by Israeli airstrikes. The IDF claims the buildings were used for attacks and weapons manufacturing. Another airstrike hit a Hamas command room within the Shuhada al-Zeitoun School, which was also used as a shelter. Enemy media reports several casualties, with the IDF accusing Hamas of using civilian sites for terror purposes.

IDF troops are conducting precise, intelligence-based, targeted operations in the Tel al-Sultan area in Rafah. The troops are engaging in combat against terrorists from the Tel al-Sultan Battalion, who are fortified in the area. In recent days, the troops have eliminated over 100 terrorists, located and destroyed launchers, weapons caches, and terrorist infrastructure.

While conducting scans in the area, the troops located a weapons cache, including sniper rifles, ammunition, anti-tank missiles, and grenades.

Over the past two weeks, the troops located several tunnel shafts and mapped out many kilometers of tunnels as part of the brigade’s effort to destroy the underground infrastructure.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced plans for an expanded military operation targeting Hezbollah on the northern front. This large-scale campaign is expected to take place in the coming weeks or months, with efforts to secure international backing and ensure sufficient munitions.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed that the IDF is ready for potential escalation with Lebanon. Opposition leader Benny Gantz called for immediate action to ensure the safe return of displaced northern residents. Those remaining in northern towns have been instructed to stay close to shelters.

The IDF has also established a specialized unit, the ‘Golan Patrol Company,’ under the 474th Golan Brigade, focused on combat and intelligence gathering in the Golan Heights.

Within the past hour, the Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF intelligence, launched airstrikes on Hezbollah weapons storage sites in the Beqaa and Baalbek regions of Lebanon, targeting additional military structures across seven locations in southern Lebanon.
