Meet Yitzchak, a man of incredible courage and compassion. On the morning of October 7th, 2023, while attending Shul, Yitzchak learned of the devastating attacks in southern Israel. Without hesitation, he rushed home, said goodbye to his wife and their four children—including a newborn—and set off to fight Hamas. His heart was with his family, but his duty was with his nation.
Yitzchak spent much of the following year in Gaza, serving tirelessly on the frontlines. However, even amidst the chaos of war, Yitzchak’s commitment to saving lives didn’t end there. During one of his brief breaks from combat, Yitzchak underwent tests to see if he could donate a kidney. He was found to be a match, and months later, he was called to act once more—this time, to save a life off the battlefield.
In an extraordinary twist of fate, the surgery took place exactly one year after the attacks—on October 7, 2024. Today, Yitzchak continues to recover from his selfless kidney donation, and both he and the recipient are doing well.
Thank you, Yitzchak, for your unwavering heroism—whether on the battlefield or in the quiet act of saving another life. You are a true testament to the power of choosing life, even in the darkest of times.
There is truly no other nation!
