It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Rav Shlomo Halioua, ZT”L, the esteemed Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Chaim Berlin, at the age of 67. A cherished leader and renowned Talmid Chacham, Rav Halioua assumed the role following the passing of his father-in-law, Rav Aharon Schechter, ZT”L, just over a year ago.
Rav Halioua was admitted to the hospital on Erev Shmini Atzeres due to a serious infection, with his condition intensifying over Yom Tov, leading to his transfer to the ICU and ultimate passing R”L.
He leaves behind a devastated Yeshiva and thousands of devoted talmidim.
The Levaya is scheduled for tomorrow morning at Yeshiva Chaim Berlin in Flatbush, with Kevura at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY.
Ubala Hamaves Lanetzach.
Baruch Dayan Haemes!
