Terror Attack at Glilot Junction Leaves Over 35 Injured, Several in Serious Condition

In central Israel, near the Glilot area, a truck rammed into a crowded bus stop on Sunday, leaving more than 35 injured R”L, including many in critical condition. At least 10 people were reported trapped beneath the vehicle as emergency crews scrambled to rescue them.

According to eyewitnesses, after crashing into the bus stop, the truck driver exited the vehicle brandishing a knife, heightening fears of a terror attack. Quick-thinking civilians on the scene intervened and fatally shot the suspect, ending the threat.

United Hatzalah responders were among the first to arrive. EMT Aharon Yaakobson, paramedic Yaron Schiff, and EMTs Eliyah Tubul and Yair Porush described a chaotic and tragic scene, with a truck, bus, and pedestrians all involved. Initial care was administered to over 20 individuals suffering from injuries of varying severity, including those still trapped under the truck. United Hatzalah’s Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit was also present to aid those experiencing emotional shock from the incident.
