A House Committee report reveals that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer privately advised Columbia University’s leaders to “keep heads down” and ignore Republican-led criticism over the university’s handling of campus antisemitism.
However, months later, after anti-Israel protests escalated into a violent takeover on campus, Schumer publicly condemned the protesters’ “lawlessness.”
