Agam Goldstein-Almog has released haunting photos of herself and her younger brothers, taken while they were held captive in a Gaza tunnel. Agam, along with her mother and two younger brothers, was abducted from her home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza, after her father and older sister were brutally murdered.
Posting the images to Instagram, Agam voiced a powerful plea for the remaining hostages’ release. “Sitting in a Gaza tunnel, scared, tired, and wanting to go home,” she wrote. “Our eyes, weary and terrified, had just witnessed the unimaginable. The fear of what they might see next was overwhelming.”
Reflecting on her release last year, Agam wrote, “On this date in 2023, I didn’t know I would be freed in three weeks. I didn’t know if I’d even survive or meet other hostages. I dreaded seeing more horror and felt trapped in a nightmare, counting the minutes but not knowing why.”
Agam’s emotional message reached out to those still in captivity: “I see you every day, wondering why you’re not the priority. I look into your eyes and can only imagine what you’ve been through since we left.”
Agam, her mother Chen, and brothers Gal and Tal were freed last November 26 as part of a temporary ceasefire agreement. Her father, Nadav, and older sister, Yam, were tragically murdered in the family’s safe room.
