IDF Launches Unprecedented Operation, Decimates Syrian Defenses

In a sweeping military operation, the IDF has conducted an unprecedented air assault on Syria, targeting and dismantling key military infrastructure. This campaign, which some analysts describe as Israel’s most intensive since the Six-Day War, has reportedly neutralized Syria’s air defenses, obliterated its air force, and significantly degraded its military capabilities.

Reports indicate that Israeli airstrikes have destroyed nearly 300 Syrian military targets, including advanced Russian-made MiG and Sukhoi fighter jets, air defense systems, and critical radar installations. Entire squadrons of the Syrian Air Force have been eliminated, and experts predict that the country’s air power may collapse entirely within days. Additionally, dozens of helicopters, warships, missile systems, and chemical weapons research facilities have been rendered inoperable.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz highlighted the strategic depth of the operation: “Last night, Israel’s navy destroyed Syria’s. Today, the IDF completed building its positions on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights. I have ordered the creation of a buffer zone in Syria to prevent a situation similar to what occurred in Gaza before the October 7th massacre.”

Arab sources report that Israeli tanks are positioned within 20 kilometers of Damascus, having secured control over towns and villages in southern Syria, including Arena, Bakassim, and Qalat Jandal. The IDF’s ground forces have established defensive lines, securing captured areas while continuing their operations.

Israel’s strikes have not only neutralized threats posed by Syria’s military but have also delivered a critical blow to Iran and its regional proxies. Syrian chemical weapons facilities, arms depots, and long-range missile sites—all supplied by Iran and Russia—have been systematically destroyed.

A senior Israeli official emphasized that Israel has no intention of meddling in Syria’s internal politics: “Our goal is to ensure Israel’s security. We hope a new regime will prioritize the Syrian people and reintegrate with the Arab world. However, if it allows Iran to re-establish a foothold or acts against Israel, our response will be swift and decisive.”

  1. Peace can only occur through dtrength. Not only is this a concept that radical Islamists understand, but it’s a Torah concept, too.

    Go IDF and IAF!

  2. If we do not defend ourselves, no one else will. The world doesn’t care if jews get hurt. We are peaceful people, but we have no choice when we are attacked.
