The U.S. Department of Justice has officially dropped all corruption charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, confirming there was insufficient basis to proceed with the case.
Federal officials explained that moving forward with the case would have interfered with Adams’ ability to govern effectively, especially as he is now working closely with the federal government on important issues like immigration.
Mayor Adams has always said he was innocent, and the decision to drop the charges backs up his claim that the accusations were politically motivated. He expressed relief that the case has been dropped and promised to stay focused on serving the people of New York.
Now that the case is over, Adams can turn his attention back to leading the city and running for re-election.

How about charges for running NYC into the ground (after De Blasio started the way to a train wreck, hold him accountable too)?
