The U.S. Department of Defense has released fresh updates on the ongoing precision strikes targeting Houthi forces in Yemen.
Strike Details:
– First Wave: The initial strikes targeted over 30 Houthi positions, including terrorist training sites, UAV infrastructure, weapons manufacturing facilities, and command & control centers.
– Second Wave (Sunday): A follow-up round of strikes focused on Houthi headquarters, weapons storage sites, and detection capabilities.
– Ongoing Operations: As of Day 3 of the strikes, U.S. operations continue with the goal of achieving the objectives set by President Trump.
Casualties and Damage:
– The U.S. estimates dozens of Houthi military casualties, with no reports of civilian casualties at this time.
– In retaliation, the Houthis claimed they launched an attack on the U.S. Navy’s USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), though the attack missed by more than 100 miles. The administration completely denied the reports, saying the strike was at lease 100 miles away.
– Additionally, three U.S. airstrikes targeted the Presidential Palace in Al Nahdain, located south of the Houthi-controlled capital of Sanaa.
Other Developments:
– Iranian Spy Ship: The Iranian vessel MV Behshad, an alleged spy ship, is not involved in any operations at present.
– Airstrikes and Tensions: Israeli media has reported intense warplane activity in the region, while severe GPS disruptions have been reported in Tehran.
– Drone Intercept: Iranian state media reports that a U.S. MQ-4C Triton drone was intercepted by Iranian F-14 fighter jets and forced to withdraw from near Iranian airspace.
– Iran’s Denial: Iran has issued an urgent message to the United Nations Security Council denying any involvement in sending weapons, drones, or missiles to Yemen. They assert that the Houthis operate independently of Iran’s control.
– Cybersecurity Breach: Reports from Iran indicate a significant cyber breach of critical systems in the country.
– Syria-Lebanon Conflict: Ongoing fighting between Syria and Lebanon has resulted in casualties on both sides.
President Trumps message on socila media this morning: “Let nobody be fooled! The hundreds of attacks being made by Houthi, the sinister mobsters and thugs based in Yemen, who are hated by the Yemeni people, all emanate from, and are created by, IRAN. Any further attack or retaliation by the “Houthis” will be met with great force, and there is no guarantee that that force will stop there. Iran has played “the innocent victim” of rogue terrorists from which they’ve lost control, but they haven’t lost control. They’re dictating every move, giving them the weapons, supplying them with money and highly sophisticated Military equipment, and even, so-called, “Intelligence.” Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!”
