Simchas Torah Massacre: Over 700 Murdered, 100 Taken Hostage, Thousands Injured R”L

0

Simchas Torah quickly turned into mourning after a horrific terror spree that has not occurred since the Yom Kippur War. At about 6:30 AM, hundreds of bloodthirsty animals infiltrated into Israel, murdering hundreds R”L.

The terrorists entered dozens of Israeli towns and cities using automatic weapons, killing well over 700 Yiddin R”L. Full families were murdered, and up to 100 people were reportedly taken hostage. 4,000 rockets have been launched into Israel since the onslaught began.

An entire IDF base was wiped out by the terrorists, which allowed them to take control of Israeli tanks and high-powered weaponry. A police station was also taken over in Sderot as the ravage continued into the early morning hours.

The Israel Defense Force continues searching for terrorist infiltrators in Southern Israel and striking Hamas targets in Gaza. Since the attack began, Iran has stepped forward in support of Hamas and called for Israel’s destruction. President Biden has expressed his full support for Israelis to counter the attack, which will hopefully be with extreme force. Hamas will pay heavily for these war crimes.

PM Netanyahu released the following statement following the tragic news:

“This morning, on Shabbat and a holiday, Hamas invaded Israeli territory and murdered innocent citizens including children and the elderly. Hamas has started a brutal and evil war.

We will be victorious in this war despite an unbearable price. This is a very difficult day for all of us.

Hamas wants to murder us all. This is an enemy that murders children and mothers in their homes, in their beds, an enemy that abducts the elderly, children and young women, that slaughters and massacres our citizens, including children, who simply went out to enjoy the holiday.

What happened today is unprecedented in Israel – and I will see to it that it does not happen again. The entire government is behind this decision.

The IDF will immediately use all its strength to destroy Hamas’s capabilities. We will destroy them and we will forcefully avenge this dark day that they have forced on the State of Israel and its citizens. As Bialik wrote: ‘Revenge for the blood of a little child has yet been devised by Satan’.

All of the places which Hamas is deployed, hiding and operating in, that wicked city, we will turn them into rubble.

I say to the residents of Gaza: Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere.

At this hour, the IDF is clearing the terrorists out of the last communities. They are going community by community, house by house, and are restoring our control.

I embrace and send heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families whose loved ones were murdered today in cold blood and endless brutality.

We are all praying for the well-being of the wounded and all those who are being held hostage. I say to Hamas: You are responsible for their well-being. Israel will settle accounts with anyone who harms one hair on their heads.

I appeal to the residents of the south: We all stand alongside you. We are all proud of your heroism and your fighting.

To our beloved IDF soldiers, police officers and security forces personnel, remember that you are the continuation of the heroes of the Jewish people, of Joshua, Judah Maccabee and the heroes of 1948 and of all of Israel’s wars. You are now fighting for the home and future of us all. We are all with you. We all love you. We all salute you.

To the medical and rescue teams, and the many volunteers who came out in force today in a long list of places, the people of Israel salute you. With your spirit, we will overcome our enemies.

Today, I spoke with US President Biden and with other world leaders in order to ensure freedom of action for Israel in the continuation of the campaign. I thank President Biden for his strong and clear words. I thank the President of France, the Prime Minister of Great Britain and many other leaders for their unreserved support for Israel.

I now appeal to all citizens of Israel:

We stand together in this campaign.

This war will take time. It will be difficult. Challenging days are ahead of us. However, I can promise one thing: With the help of G-d, the forces that we all have in common and our faith in the Eternal One of Israel, we will win.”

Operation Iron Swords Update from United Hatzalah

“Hundreds of United Hatzalah doctors, paramedics, and EMTs are continuing to provide medical assistance to the thousands of wounded in the south and center of the country.

The helicopters of the medevac unit of United Hatzalah and Lahak Aviation evacuated under fire nine seriously injured people on Saturday to hospitals in central Israel, and more today.

United Hatzalah medical teams deployed in and around the various scenes of fighting transported approximately 300 people to various hospitals using dozens of ambulances that arrived to reinforce the south in addition to rescue vehicles. The organization has brought down reserve bulletproof vests, helmets, medical equipment such as bandages and tourniquets, and additional medical personnel from the north and the center of the country to assist in the most hard-hit regions of the Gaza periphery.

Eli Beer, CEO of United Hatzalah: “In these difficult times, I want to send my support to the hundreds of volunteers who have been providing medical assistance in the various areas since yesterday morning. We currently have 1,500 volunteers operating in the Gaza periphery and have treated well over 1,000 people thus far. Our teams are working hand-in-hand with IDF medical units in the field. We will increase the medical personnel and equipment in the south of the country as much as necessary and will continue to provide assistance as needed. I call on the general public to be careful and obey the directives of the Home Front Command. Please enter safe rooms during Red Alert warning sirens and wait there for about 10 minutes, these are instructions that save lives.”

Moshe Levy, United Hatzalah Vice President of Planning and Strategy added: “Starting last night, the organization’s logistics teams are moving large amounts of medical equipment to the organization’s medical personnel deployed in the various areas in the south of the country. We need the public’s help in collecting additional equipment with an emphasis on CPR bags, oxygen cylinders, consumable medical equipment such as bandages and gauze pads, portable chargers, hygiene products, closed water bottles, dry food products that do not require cooking, disposable utensils and more. Citizens, companies, suppliers, etc. who wish to help are asked to contact Doron Daniel immediately at the phone number: 050-348-1221.”
