Yom Yerushalayim festivities have kicked off at the Kotel. A massive Israeli flag was unveiled to mark the beginning of the celebratory day (See footage below).
Meanwhile Israeli security forces are bracing for the possibility of clashes on Har Habayis in ahead of tomorrow’s ‘Yom Yerushalayim’ flag march through the Old City.
Security forces were also bracing for possible violence in the West Bank, rocket fire from Hamas and other terror groups in the Gaza Strip, and even an attack by Hezbollah along the northern border with Lebanon, Channel 12 said.
Yom Yerushalayim, which marks Israel’s conquest of the Old City and East Jerusalem from Jordan in the 1967 Six Day War, is celebrated most publicly by national-religious Jews, especially by youths who march through the capital while dancing with Israeli flags.

Wishing all our friends a Happy Jerusalem Day, also known as ‘Yom Yerushalayim’ in Hebrew. Celebrated every year on the 28th of the Hebrew month of Iyar, the day marks the reunification of Jerusalem following the 1967 Six-Day War 💙🇮🇱
