Kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, the Troufanovs endured 53 agonizing days in the hands of terrorists before being released. Since then, they have ceaselessly campaigned for the freedom of their beloved son and fiancé, Sasha Troufanov.

Yesterday, they took a much-needed respite to attend the wedding of Russia’s chief rabbi’s son in Rome.

Hailing from Rostov, the Troufanovs have demonstrated remarkable resilience and unwavering strength.

The Rav of Rostov, Chaim Danzinger, assured them that he will begin preparations for a grand celebration in Rostov once their son is safely returned.

“They are true heroes, and it was an honor to share in the joy of this beautiful simcha together with them” commented R’ Danzinger.
