Summer is Moving Season. Where Are Orthodox Jews Headed?

1

The Orthodox Union’s Savitsky Community Fair took place this past March and offers valuable insights into which cities the community thinks are the best places to live. The Savitsky Community Fair – which has been virtual since COVID – takes place every two years and serves as a resource for young families, retirees, empty-nesters, singles, newly married couples, and all others considering relocation.

This year’s fair featured 54 booths representing more than 60 Orthodox Jewish communities from 23 states and provinces from North America, and Israel. The event’s main objective is to highlight affordable alternative communities that offer the necessary amenities to enable an Orthodox Jewish lifestyle. Most fair attendees are from larger Orthodox Jewish communities around New York who are looking for a change.

Here are the top ten communities where Orthodox Jews are considering moving to, based on how many fair attendees visited each booth:

Israel (178 visitors)
Jacksonville, FL (148 visitors)
Tampa, FL (142 visitors)
Atlanta, GA (137 visitors)
Orlando, FL (118 visitors)
Louisville, KY (110 visitors)
Scottsdale, AZ (107 visitors)
Memphis, TN (103 visitors)
Savannah, GA (100 visitors)
Highland Park/Edison, NJ (96 visitors)
