PSEG Shares Update As Hurricane Zeta Approaches Long Island

1

PSEG Long Island is monitoring potential impacts from Hurricane Zeta on Long Island and the Rockaways today and Friday. We have performed system checks on critical equipment and made sure that critical supplies are on hand.

Heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts are possible, so we will have additional personnel ready to respond to any possible power outages the approaching storm brings. We are also seeking assistance from electric utilities outside of the metropolitan area.

PSEG Long Island has made improvements to customer communications and restoration systems and our current preparations are based on the higher ranges of the forecasted wind and rain. Storms like this always bring uncertainty and customers should be prepared for potential outages.

If there is extensive damage, you may receive an “Assessing Conditions” message when contacting our Call Center, rather than an estimated time of restoration (ETR). Our crews must first assess storm impact so we can provide a more accurate ETR. Learn more about this new process here.

If you see repair crews, please remain indoors. If you must speak with them, please wear a mask and practice physical distancing of at least six feet.

Be sure to download our mobile app to report an outage and track progress on the MyPower Map. Visit us online for storm preparedness tips.
