NYC employees now have until Oct. 29 to get their first COVID-19 vaccine shot or be fired.
“If you choose not to [get vaccinated], you have the right to go on unpaid leave,” says Mayor Bill de Blasio. “The bottom line is, we’re not gonna pay people unless they’re vaccinated.”
New York City will continue to lead the nation in the fight against #COVID19.
Every City employee must be vaccinated. Most must have at least one dose of the vaccine by 5PM on October 29. Dept of Corrections by December 1.
