There have been fraudulent letters being sent out appearing to have come from the local fire departments asking for residents to give a $10.00 suggested donation to the “Annual Fund Drive”. Although the fire departments do have voluntary donation drives, this such letter is in fact a spam. Nassau County Police Department has been notified.

It has come to our attention that numerous mailings similar to this one, have been mailed out to residents all over Nassau county. These are NOT sanctioned by the Nassau County Fire Commission nor the Lawrence Cedarhurst Fire Department.
The Lawrence Cedarhurst Fire Department’s Fund Drive is mailed utilizing LCFD official letterhead. If you have any questions regarding the validity of a fund drive letter you receive, please reach out to your local firehouse.
