Liberty American Water plans to flush its water distribution system within neighboring communities and the Village of Lawrence, effective Monday, April 17th through Friday, April 21st.

“Dear Customer,
As a part of our ongoing effort to maintain a safe and reliable drinking water supply, Liberty will be implementing our hydrant flushing program in Lawrence and Meadowmere Park. This work will take place between Monday April 17th through Friday April 21st from 8am to 4:30pm. Customers in the immediate vicinity of flushing may notice temporarily discolored water and lower-than-normal water pressure. Despite the change in the color and appearance, your water remains safe for consumption and use. Nevertheless, to minimize discolored water, residents should avoid using tap water or running the washing machine or dishwasher until flushing is complete. Liberty thanks you for your patience during this time.
Once flushing is complete, it is recommended that customers run a hose bib or faucet for five to ten minutes until the water appears clear. We appreciate your cooperation while we complete this important routine maintenance. For further information or questions, please call 877-426-6999.”
