Hewlett Robbery Report: Suspect Escapes After Altercation at King Kullen

The Fourth Squad disclosed details about a robbery incident occurring on Sunday, February 24th, at 3:37 PM, in Hewlett.

Detectives stated that a male individual entered a King Kullen store situated at 1765 Peninsula Boulevard attempted to leave with multiple items without paying. As he tried to exit, a security guard intervened, leading to a physical confrontation. The perpetrator dropped the stolen goods and fled in an unknown direction. Fortunately, no injuries were reported at the scene, but the investigation remains ongoing.

The suspect is described as a 45-50-year-old Black male, approximately 5’6’’ tall, and weighing around 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, jacket, pants, and shoes.
