According to a recent Harvard CAPS/Harris survey released Monday for the month of April, Americans overwhelmingly support Israel in its ongoing conflict with Hamas, with four out of five voters (80%) backing Israel.
This strong support is evident across all age groups. Additionally, nearly three-quarters of voters (72%) express support for an Israel Defense Forces military operation in Rafah, in southern Gaza City, to “finish the war.” Only 28% believe Israel should “back off now and allow Hamas to continue running Gaza.”
These findings come amid protests on college campuses across the country, where some students and faculty have expressed support for Hamas while denigrating Israel and Jews. From the mainstream media, one would be led to believe that the majority of Americans hate Israel/Jews and do not support Israels’ right to finish off Hamas, let alone continue to exist.
80% of Americans favor Israel in the Gaza war, while 20% say they favor Hamas.

• 35-44: 75% v. 25%
• 25-34: 64% v. 36%
• 18-24: 57% v. 43%https://t.co/tzWa61sclN— Frank Luntz (@FrankLuntz) May 1, 2024

Congress voted last week to send Gaza $9 billion in aid and to spend $320 million to build a new floating port for deliveries. That works out to $18,000 per family of 4 living in the region, according to reports. The bulk of that aid and cash as we have seen will be going straight to the hands of Hamas, and sadly will not reach those who truly need the aid and funds.
