Burglary Investigation in Lawrence

The Fourth Squad is investigating a burglary that took place in Lawrence on Monday, June 10th at 10:50 am.

According to detectives, police from the Fourth Precinct responded to a report of a stolen bicycle at a residence on Cumberland Place. The investigation revealed that an unknown male, riding a green mountain bike, approached the garage of a 49-year-old male victim’s home. The suspect entered the garage through an unlocked door, abandoned his green bicycle, and left riding a black Cannondale mountain bike valued at approximately $600. The suspect was last seen heading west on Cumberland Place. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’10” tall, with a medium build, aged between 20 and 30 years. He was wearing a grey long-sleeved sweatshirt, a blue baseball cap with white lettering, grey pants, white sneakers, and a black backpack.

Detectives urge anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Police Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
