לכבוד Beloved White Shul Members and Mis’pallelim עמו”ש:

Shalom U’vracha and a Gutten Erev Shabbos Kodesh to all. We hope this letter finds you and your wonderful family doing and feeling well in all inyanim, ברוחניות ובגשמיות

Please note the following important updates:

  • In light of the current worrisome uptick in (local) cases of COVID-19, coupled with information related in conversations with elected officials, we have decided to shift to a “Mask Mandatory” policy- for all minyanim– at the present time. We ask that you please always adhere to the new policy and wear a mask  while on the Shul premises- for the health and safety of all mis’pallelim.
  • The policy is in effect beginning tonight, ליל שבת, as we enter the last Shabbos of the year. As mentioned before and now reiterated: we will continue to assess the ever-evolving and complex situation on a regular and ongoing basis, and make changes if and when deemed appropriate. Although you may disagree with the Shul’s policy, please understand that entry into our מקדש מעט is conditioned upon full adherence to this rule. Thank you very much for your cooperation and understanding.
  • The ba’alei tefilla and ba’alei kri’ah may lower their masks if they feel it necessary, making sure to face away from the Tzibbur (and to make use of the plexiglass divider if possible).  Mis’pallelim should be positioned at least six feet away from the Bimah.
  • It must be emphasized repeatedly: If you are not feeling well or are showing any COVID-like symptoms at all, you may not enter the Shul. Anyone entering the Shul while feeling ill is putting lives at risk. The Ratzon Hashem  is most certainly to daven at home until cleared by a reputable physician.

There will be an e-mail forthcoming, pertaining to pre-Rosh HaShanah preparations, that will address Men’s Mikvah use before Yom TovTashlich, hearing Shofar blowing, and other timely topics.

We are hosting a pre-Selichos Kumzitz this Motza’ei Shabbos Kodesh in the Main Shul (beginning at 10:30 pm), and strongly encourage your participation (whether in person or via our livestream). We will join Eli and Avrumi Schwebel in D’veikus-style Niggunim, interspersed with דברי חיזוק from your Rabbonim, and followed by an inspiring Selichos at חצות. We are very much looking forward to an uplifting and meaningful evening of beautiful שירה וזמרה and התעוררות.

With warmest wishes to all, מעומק ליבנו, for a truly great last Shabbos of the year, a כתיבה וחתימה טובה, a שנה טובה ומתוקה, and only כל טוב always,

Rabbi Eytan Feiner

Rabbi Motti Neuburger
