The Sar Hatorah Rav Chaim Kanievsky (93 K”H) has tested positive for Coronavirus Friday morning. A statement from a close family member states “Following a change in the body temperature of the great Rabbi, he was examined and found positive for coronavirus”.
The statement continued “The Rav is currently feeling well and is continuing his sidrei limud as usual and of course, is under close medical supervision.”
The world at large is asked to daven for the refuah sheleimah of Rav Shmaryahu Yosef Chaim ben Pesha Miriam b’soch shaar cholei Yisrael.
Over the last couple of days’ several members of the Rav’s family, including the Rav’s personal driver had tested positive for the virus. For the past several months the Rav has not been having regular visitors in his home, and has only been seeing a minimum of visitors behind plexiglass.
VINnews reports that Rav Chaim Kanievski Shlit”a has requested that people should learn Maseches Brachos and say ten chapters of Tehillim (both men and women).
We hope and pray for the steady recovery of the Rav, and IYH all of Klal Yisroel should hear Besuros Tovos!
