In response to reports of thefts from local vehicles, Mayor Alex Edelman and Village staff have met at the 4th Precinct with Inspector Leslie Moulds, Deputy Inspector Daniel Ciaccio and POP Officer John Zanni.
The Mayor was assured that visible police patrols would be increased, though residents are again urged to lock their cars as the bulk of the “break” ins are actually “reach” ins, into unsecured vehicles.
While, as noted, there will be a greater uniformed police presence during this season, the public is asked to abide by the attached valuable safety tips provided by the NCPD and to report any and all incidents so that more security resources are allocated to our community.
