A gunpoint robbery was thwarted on Montgomery Street in Crown Heights Tuesday morning, when the almost victim fought back, and scared off his attackers.
Video surveillance acquired by Crown Heights Shomrim shows the mugging attempt that took place on Montgomery Street between Kingston and Albany around 7:30 am.
Three teenage boys exit from a black Honda that pulls up to the block and double parks on the north side of the street. The three focus their attention on a young man dressed in a white hoodie and carrying a rucksack who is walking alone on the street. One of the muggers tapped the victim on the shoulder and pulled out a gun.
The victim immediately engaged his attacker, beating him and scaring him and his two accomplices away. They all ran into the parked car and took off headed south.
Thankfully the victim was not injured in the attack.
Police & Shomrim were called to the scene and have not yet found the attackers.
